ROUTER BIT ROMAN OGEE 1/4′
R193.00
Cutting Depth: 5/8"
Radius: 1/4"
Classification: Standard (Yellow)
The Roman Ogee Router Bit is a premium tool essential for creating a classic and highly decorative edge profile on a
variety of woodworking projects.
Characterized by its distinctive, elegant ‘S’ curve, the profile consists of two opposing arcs: a concave (cove)
curve meeting a convex (round) curve, often with small, straight steps, or fillets, separating the profile from the
workpiece face and edge.
This design, which echoes historical architectural molding styles, is perfect for adding sophistication to furniture
components like tabletops, drawer fronts, and cabinet doors, as well as for crafting custom trim and molding.
Featuring a guide bearing for consistent, smooth cuts along straight or curved edges, the bit ensures professional
results with minimal sanding.
Its robust construction, utilizing tungsten carbide tips, guarantees superior sharpness, longevity, and
a clean, burn-free finish across all composition materials, hardwoods, and softwoods
Application:
- Router bits are for use with router machines only.
- Be sure that at least 3/4 of the shaft length is inserted into the router collet.
- Do not ‘bottom-out’ the bit in the collet. The shank should be 1/8′ from the bottom of the collet.
- Route in two or more passes when large amounts of stock must be removed.
